A Different Path to Craftsmanship
My path to starting a home exterior company wasn’t typical — and I see that as an advantage. With a background in Journalism and Computer Science, I spent the early part of my career in software development, where precision, problem-solving, and communication were core to everything I did. But even while managing software projects, carpentry was always my passion — something I truly loved doing for friends and family, often as a way to unplug and build something real, tangible, and useful.
A few years ago, I left tech for good and joined a small roofing company here in Omaha to learn the trade the right way: hands-on, detail-focused, and people-first. Now, I bring those same principles to Duggan Exteriors — combining craftsmanship with communication, and service with strategy.
